The title is a quote from the film, which features the recording sessions of the ensemble Sarmatica for its new recording. Recording engineer Vadym Borysenko calls out to a musician to
take off one ear,i.e., to take the headphones off one ear, so that he or she can hear both the playback in one ear, and the live music in the other.
